Annie Murath Carrasco

Singer, actress, vocal director and co-director of Pantheatre-Chile

Annie first studied classical singing and later theatre at the University of Chile, where she currently teaches voice in the Theatre Department. She is also a Roy Hart Teacher. Her vocal research began in 2004, guided by the teachers of Pantheatre Linda Wise, Enrique Pardo and Liza Mayer, and later Jonathan Hart and Vicente Fuentes.

She is co-director and co-ordinator of Pantheatre-Chile in Santiago. She has organized and initiated not only annual workshops but also performance projects including a concert – «Amor y Sombras»- which was the start of her career as a soloist.

From 1990 and 2018 she sang in many theatrical and musical productions, including «Marat-Sade», «The Shoemaker’s Prodigious Wife», «The Threepenny Opera», «Cabaret», «Province Kapital», «Piaf», «Mamma Mia». She sang the soundtrack – composed Luis Advis – for Silvio Caiozzi’s movie «Coronación».

She frequently works as a Vocal Coach for major musical productions, notably «Mercury, The Legend», «Cerati», «Tar», «Annie» and «The Sound of Music».
Internationally she has sung mainly in Brazil: «Mulheres-um canto de resistência», «Cancion para Victor» with Renato Barr and Fabiana Cozza, and a tribute to Vladimir Herzog in Sao-Paolo Cathedral, and is frequently invited to give workshops and master classes.
