Philippe Fagnot
Actor-Director and Trainer
Living in Rennes (France)
My mother used to do amateur theatre, my father loved to see shows. I was born on September 16, 1967 in a rural area on the outskirts of Brittany. My first theatrical experiences gave me access to a less mundane culture. I had found my artistic path, in spite of being told: “Philippe, acting is not a job!“
In 2015, after creating and running the professional theatre company Théâtre de l’élixir for 25 years, Philippe created the company ‘Scèn’ Attitudes’. He has performed on stage over 1,400 times and staged about 50 shows with professionals as well as amateurs, teachers, students, prisoners, job seekers… Among the authors he has worked on are Molière, Feydeau, Tchekhov, Shakespeare, Aristophane, Goldoni, Ghelderode, Williams, Rambert, Nothomb, Fo, Brook, Jarry, Dard, Bergson… He’s been working as a director and a teacher for 28 years. He works for T.N.B. Théâtre National de Bretagne in three high schools. He has supervised more than 300 workshops. He’s currently acting in the plays: ‘Oral en Scène’, ‘Solo dell’ Arte!’ and ‘Le dernier jour d’un condamné’ by Victor Hugo.
He speaks English and French
