Stretching, breathing, resonance.
An exploration of the voice by making the vowels resonate in various zones of the body called chakras. We can then play with the harmonics, free, and enrich our voice. Vocal games and improvisations will help us to unify high and low tones. And we will try and put this into practise in our songs. At the risk of disappointing you, we will not sing mantras or meditate !

Everyone will get something out of this class even without any previous knowledge of yoga. It’s not overly physical but an essential tool for those who use their voice for work or for play.  Effective and fun.

Lucienne Deschamps is a poet, singer, actor and theatre producer with many years of experience teaching voice yoga in France and the UK. She is a founder member of the Roy Hart Theatre and one of the first 49 to move to Malérargues in 1974.

The workshop will be taught in English and French.

    Students are accommodated in simple but comfortable shared rooms with two, three or four beds, shared bathrooms and two fully-equipped kitchens. Sheets and blankets are provided.

    1) we do not have single, private room
    2) we do not make or take reservations for participants lodging outside the Centre
    3) for residencies and longer stays it may be possible to rent appartments in the Château – these too also get booked early for the summer. More info HERE
