An offbeat, interactive performance with musical interludes, “Se désenvoûter du capitalisme” (Breaking the Spell of Capitalism) is a hybrid theatrical form at the intersection of ecology, politics, and spirituality, with a sprinkling of derision. In this one-woman show, Maryline Guitton asks “Why do humans cut off the very branch on which they sit?” Following the path of various thinkers, a lead emerges: because they are bewitched by capitalism!
