Mechthild Hettich
Voice Teacher, Musician
Lives in Bremen & Stuttgart, Germany
Worked with the Roy Hart Theatre (before 1991)
Roy Hart Voice Teacher since 1996
In my teaching I would like to encourage people to dedicate more to their voice and to experience it as an expression of their feelings and thoughts.
Mechthild Hettich lives and teaches in Bremen, Germany. In 1989 she started to explore her voice with teachers of the Roy Hart Theatre. Since 1996, she has been teaching voice at several levels: absolute beginners (and people who think they cannot sing), people who want to explore their voices in all its colours, and musicians who are interested in the connection between voice and instrument. Nature and voice is another focus in her teaching and performing. Mechthild Hettich’s deep connection to nature is rooted in her first profession as a gardener and landscape-architect. She has created several ‘garden-songs’ and accompanied herself on the accordion.
Mechthild Hettich studied with Marita Günther, Robert Harvey, Jonathan Hart Makwaia, Rosemarie Quinn and Venice Manley.
She speaks German and English.
