Bodywork – Movement & Voice, Human Voice, Improvisation, Vocal Exploration

Workshop Description:
Beyond language, the human voice is a great space for non-verbal expression. From inarticulate sound to fluid singing, there is an infinity of possibilities. In the workshops “Human voice”, we breathe, we sing, we shout, we whisper, we improvise: body-voice exploration, work on timbres, the range of registers, bass to high… The voice is a matter that resonates with our body, our emotions, our imagination. It is approached here as a path of self-knowledge.

These classes address the fundamental elements of Roy-Hart Theatre voice work, as defined by the Roy-Hart Center: “Development of vocal potential, theatrical and musical improvisations, individual work in small groups, breathing and physical exercises to prepare the body to sing, the art of listening to others and oneself, seeking the dynamic sources of sounds”.

All levels workshop, from beginners to live performance professionals. 9 participants max. From September 6 to December 13, 2019, Friday from 6PM to 8PM every 2 weeks, in Paris at Studio Buenos Aires, 54 avenue Philippe Auguste, 75011, Paris. Dates: 6, 20 September, 4, 18 October, 1, 15, 29 November, 13 December.
