Focus: Bodywork – Movement & Voice, Improvisation, Performance Laboratory, Song & Interpretation, Vocal Exploration
Workshop Description: Week-end all levels directed by Maryline Guitton. Centered on vocal expression and improvised singing, rooted in Roy Hart’s voice work and mindfulness meditation, this workshop will be a time dedicated to creativity, connection to oneself and others, to feel fully alive.
On a path of self-knowledge, we will let emerge the small and great voices that sleep in us, deep and archaic songs that we have always known … without knowing it! We will enter into an intimate connection with our sensations and emotions by gentle warm-ups; cultivate intuitive creativity through meditation and free movement; will alternate between interiorization through meditation and expression through singing; improve our breathing and vocal technique; explore our voices and deploy a palette of timbres; we will open ourselves to the unknown through body-voice research and improvisation; will develop listening and musicality during vocal games.
Practiced meditation: mindfulness meditation, placing attention on the breathing.
