Description
The Marani Ensemble is a male-voice choir performing a repertoire of polyphonic songs – some a capella, and some accompanied by instruments from different regions of Georgia.
These ancient songs, some more than 1000 years old, mark certain life-moments.
The Marani Ensemble has sung on Radio-France, for Unesco, at Royaumont Abbey and at numerous festivals.

‘Marani demonstrates the wealth and diversity of Georgian harmony singing’.
Le Monde

‘… one of the most fascinating vocal traditions in the world’. WorldMusicCentral.org

‘The harmonies of The Marani Ensemble bring a depth of rare listening pleasure (…) hearing it, one feels a certain solemnity.’
